ICC announces newly Elected Chairman for International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL)
Mr. Johnny Fernando, Chairman ICCSL
Mr. Johnson Anthony Fernando was elected, as the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICC SL) on the 11th December 2025 at the ICC SL Annual General Meeting held at The BMICH. Mr. Fernando has been a member of the ICCSL Board for over two decades and is a respected corporate leader and community figure with over thirty years of senior leadership experience across diversified industries in Sri Lanka and the region. Mr. Fernando is an old boy of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo.
He is a Co-owner and Director of his family- owned companies a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning engineering, construction, logistics, packaging, printing, and property development. Mr. Fernando has played a pivotal role in driving sustainable operations, innovation, automation, and process improvement across group companies. His expertise covers strategic planning, finance, supply chain management, project management, and integrated management systems.
Mr. Fernando also serves as a Non-Executive, Independent Director of People’s Insurance PLC, and has previously held board positions at People’s Leasing & Finance PLC, People’s Merchant Finance PLC, Alliance Leasing & Finance (Bangladesh), among others.
Currently he is the Chairman of Sri Lanka Print Media Academy and the Past President of the Sri Lanka Association of Printers.
He serves on advisory and governing bodies including BCI Campus, Colombo Catholic Press, the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, and faith-based education initiatives. A Justice of the Peace, he has long been active in community leadership, notably through the Lions Club, where he has led impactful projects benefiting underserved communities across the country.
Known for his ethical, values-driven leadership, Mr. Fernando combines business excellence with a deep sense of social responsibility, remaining firmly grounded in his roots while continuing to shape industry and society with purpose and integrity.
