Mr. B A H S Preena joined Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC in 1987 and has 36 years of service in the Bank, and has served in both Personal Banking and Corporate Banking Divisions. A major part of his banking career was at the Corporate Banking division, starting as a Relationship Manager. In 2003, he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Bangladesh Operations when the bank acquired the Bangladesh operations of Credit Agricole Indosuez. Currently, he functions as the Assistant General Manager – Corporate Banking. As a Corporate Management Member of the Bank, he oversees the operations of the following Divisions:

• Corporate Banking
• Imports
• Exports
• Islamic Banking
• SWIFT and Institutional Banking

Mr. Preena currently serves as the Director of the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICC). Further, he was elected as the 34th President of APB (Association of Professional Bankers of Sri Lanka) for the year 2023/24. In addition, he serves as a member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka (IBSL) and as a General Council Member of the Organization of Professional Associations (OPA). Mr. Preena is an Associate Member of IBSL and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colombo. Mr. Preena serves as the Vice President of the Association of Professional Bankers (APB) Sri Lanka and has served as an Executive Committee Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Further, Mr. Preena is an Associate Member of IBSL and holds an MBA from the University of Colombo. Mr. B A H S Preena AGM Corporate Banking 1 is elected as the 34th President of APB (Association of Professional Bankers of Sri Lanka) for the year 23/24, and the AGM was held on 31st March 2023. He holds positions of Council Member, Head of Membership and Special Events Sub Committees, Treasurer, Vice President, and SVP before becoming the President. In addition, Mr. Preena has served as an Executive Committee Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). In addition to Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Offshore Banking, Swift/Institutional Banking, and Islamic Banking also fall under his purview.
